Scholarship Details

The deadline to apply for the Vidhyasamunnathi Scholarship and Competitive Exam Assistance has been extended to November 15.

The Forward Communities Welfare Corporation has invited applications for the 'Vidyasamunnathi' Merit Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged families in forward communities. Scholarships are available for High School, Higher Secondary, Diploma/Certificate Courses, Graduation, Post-Graduation, CA/CMA/CS, and Research programs. Applications are also open for the Coaching Assistance scheme, which provides financial aid for competitive exam training. Applications must be submitted online.

The Samunnathi Scholarship is an initiative of the Kerala State Welfare Corporation for Forwarding Communities Limited (KSWCFC). KSWCFC has released the notification for the online registration of this scholarship. KSWCFC introduced this scholarship for financially backward students in forwarding communities. The Samunnathi Scholarship is from high school level to scholarship for post graduate students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must belong to the non-reservation categories in Kerala State.
  • Only those studying in government/aided institutions in Kerala can apply.
  • Applicants must register compulsorily only once on the website and apply for the scholarship after creating a profile using the User Name & Password received on the registered mobile number. Those who registered in the previous year must log in using that User Name & Password and submit the scholarship application.
  • A separate application must be submitted each year. Applications submitted in previous years for financial assistance for the year under consideration will not be considered.
  • The applicant's family annual income from all sources should not exceed four lakhs (4,00,000/-) rupees.
  • The family annual income certificate must be in the name of a member of the ration card including the applicants (applicant/father/mother/guardian). (Individual annual income certificates will not be accepted).
  • Copies of pages 1 and 2 of the ration card including the applicants must be uploaded with the application.
  • Applications must be submitted online. When submitting the application online, the documents required for each scheme must be scanned and sent along with the application.
  • Since there is no scholarship renewal, those who received scholarships in previous years must also apply again.
  • Students applying for the scholarship must have an active/valid account in any branch of Nationalized/Scheduled Banks.
  • Scholarship amount is distributed to beneficiaries based on priority for those with lower income limits and in accordance with the availability of funds.
  • Financial assistance will be provided only to the active bank account mentioned in the application and in the name of the applicant students. The applicants alone will be responsible for any miscredit due to errors in recording the bank account number/the bank accounts provided are inactive/invalid.
  • Even minor errors in the online application can lead to rejection of the application, so the application submission process must be completed with utmost care. Only certificates submitted in the format available on the website will be accepted.
  • Applications with false information, unclear documents uploaded, and incomplete applications will be rejected. Subsequent complaints will not be accepted.
  • Students receiving other scholarships/stipends from the Central/State Governments other than e-grants are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. If it is found that false information has been recorded in this regard, the amount available under the scholarship must be repaid with 12% compound interest. That student will then be ineligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Make sure that all the information (including documents) as per the guidelines is available before submitting the online application.
  • Those who submit the online application do not need to send copies of the application and documents to the Kerala State Forward Communities Welfare Corporation by post.
  • The Corporation's decision regarding the awarding of the scholarship is final. Appeals regarding this will not be accepted.
