About the Vidhyasamunnathi Scholarship
The Kerala State Welfare Corporation for Forward Communities Limited (KSWCFC) invites applications for the 'Vidhyasamunnathi' Merit Scholarship, providing financial assistance to economically disadvantaged students from forward communities. Scholarships are available for High School, Higher Secondary, Diploma/Certificate courses, Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Degree, CA/CMA/CS, and Research programs. The Coaching Assistance scheme, which provides financial assistance for competitive exam training, is also open for applications.
The Samunnathi Scholarship is an initiative of the KSWCFC. The KSWCFC has issued the notification for online registration for this scholarship. KSWCFC introduced this scholarship for economically backward students in forwarding communities. Samunnathi scholarship is available from high school level to postgraduate students.
Eligibility Criteria
General Requirements
- Applicants must belong to non-reserved categories in Kerala State.
- Only those studying in government/aided institutions in Kerala can apply.
- Applicants must register compulsorily in web site.
- Applications must be submitted separately each year. Applications submitted in previous years for financial assistance for the year under consideration will not be considered.
- The applicant's family annual income from all sources should not exceed four lakh (4,00,000/-) rupees.
- The family annual income certificate must be in the name of a person who is a member of the ration card containing the applicants (applicant's/father's/mother's/guardian's). (Individual annual income certificate will not be accepted).
- A copy of pages 1 and 2 of the ration card containing the applicants should be uploaded along with the application.
- Applications must be sent online. When applying online, the documents required for each scheme must be scanned and sent along with the application.
- Those who have received scholarships in previous years should also apply afresh as there is no scholarship renewal.
- Students applying for the scholarship must have an active/valid account in any branch of Nationalized/Scheduled Banks.
- Scholarship amount is distributed to the beneficiaries as per the availability of funds, giving priority to those in the low-income category.
- Financial assistance will only be available to the active bank account mentioned in the online application and in the name of the applying students. Applicants are solely responsible for miscredit due to errors in recording the bank account number /non-functioning /invalidity of the bank accounts provided.
- Even minor errors in the online application can lead to rejection of the application, so the application submission procedures should be completed with utmost care. Only certificates submitted in the format available on the website will be accepted.
- Applications with false information, unclear documents uploaded, and incomplete applications will be rejected upon verification. Subsequent complaints will not be entertained.
- Students receiving other scholarships/stipends from Central/State Governments, except E-Grants, are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. If false information is recorded in the application in this regard, the amount available for the scholarship must be repaid with 12% compound interest. The student is then ineligible to apply for the scholarship in the future.
- Make sure that all the information (including documents) as per the guidelines is available before submitting the online application.
- Those who have submitted the online application do not need to send copies of the application and documents to the Kerala State Forward Communities Welfare Corporation by post.
- The Corporation's decision regarding the granting of scholarship is final. Appeals regarding this will not be accepted.
