About the PM Yasasvi Scheme

The PM Yasasvi Central Sector Scheme provides top-class education in schools for OBC, EBC, and DNT students. The application deadline is extended to September 15, 2025.

This scheme aims to provide premium education to meritorious students belonging to OBC, EBC, and DNT categories from 9th to 12th grade by providing financial assistance for their education.

The Pradhan Mantri Yasasvi Scheme is a centrally sponsored program that provides financial assistance to students from OBC, EBC, and DNT backgrounds pursuing higher education. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is implementing this scheme. Students selected through this scheme will receive assistance for tuition fees, hostel fees, and study materials.

It is a program implemented by the Central Ministry of Social Justice to ensure better education for OBC, EBC, and DNT students in classes 9 to +2 who maintain high standards. From 9th to +2, ₹12,000/- per year will be provided, totaling ₹48,000.

Benefits

Grants will be provided for school-required tuition fees, hostel fees, and other charges, with a maximum of ₹75,000/- per year for a student in classes 9 and 10, and ₹1,25,000/- per year for a student in classes 11 and 12.

Eligibility

  • Only OBC, EBC, DNT students in 9, 10, +1, +2 classes of selected schools can apply.
  • Schools that have achieved 100% success in public examinations in previous years are included in the Top Class School (TCS) list.
  • Those with an annual family income of up to ₹2.5 lakhs can apply.
  • 30% of scholarships are reserved for girls.

How to Apply

  • Applications must be submitted through the National Scholarship Portal, the central government's common portal for scholarships.
  • Those applying for a scholarship for the first time through NSP should do a One Time Registration (OTR).
  • Log in using the OTR obtained.
  • Then, if you provide your personal and academic information, you can see the scholarships you can apply for.
  • Select the scholarship from there and upload the required documents.
  • After submitting the scholarship, submit a printout of the application to the institution where you are studying.
