CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship
According to the CBSE merit scholarship scheme, applications are open online until October 23 for the 2025 single girl child Class 10 scholarship.
Applications can also be submitted now for renewal of last year's scholarship. Detailed information and guidelines of the scholarship scheme, including eligibility criteria and how to apply, can be found on the CBSE website.
Those who have passed the tenth-class examination this year with no less than 70 percent marks and are studying in the 11th class in CBSE affiliated schools can apply for the scholarship.
Guardians must have a single girl child. The scholarship is for a maximum of two years to encourage excellent children in their studies. Scholarships are available for studies in classes 11 and 12. This academic year, the monthly tuition fee should not exceed Rs 2500 (the tuition fee should not exceed Rs 3000 in classes 11 and 12). The monthly tuition fee for children belonging to the NRI category can be up to Rs 6000. The annual family income should be less than eight lakh rupees.
Those who received the scholarship in 2024 must submit a renewal application in 2025 to continue to be awarded the scholarship. Must have scored more than 70 percent marks in the 11th class examination.
Scholarship amount: Those selected on merit basis will get a scholarship of Rs 1000 per month. Visit the website for more details and updates.
How to Apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship
- Visit the CBSE website
- Click ‘Single girl child scholarship REG’
- Click on the designated scholarship application link
- In the new tab, select the type of application: new or renewal.
- Now click on SGC-X Fresh Application or Renewal
- Fill out the application form and upload the details
- Submit the single girl child scholarship application and download the form for future reference
- Under the Single Girl Child Scholarship scheme, students will receive Rs 500 per month. The monthly tuition fee should not exceed Rs 1,500 per month in 10th class and a 10 percent increase in 11th and 12th classes.
