
NORKA Insurance Coverage Increased for Expatriates
Increased Insurance Coverage Details
NORKA Roots has increased the accidental death insurance coverage amount for the Expatriate Identity Card, NRK Insurance Card, and Student ID Card to five lakh rupees. The accidental death insurance coverage amount for the Pravasi Raksha Insurance Policy has also been increased from the current two lakh rupees to three lakh rupees.
Revised Rates for Services
The rates for Pravasi ID Card, NRK Insurance Card, Student ID Card, and Pravasi Raksha Insurance Policy services have been revised. The new rate for Pravasi Identity Card, Student ID Card, and NRK Insurance Card is ₹408 each including GST (previously ₹372). The new rate for Pravasi Raksha Insurance Policy is ₹661 including GST (previously ₹649).
Eligibility Expansion
NORKA Roots Chief Executive Officer Ajith Kolasseri announced that Malayalees in other states of India will also be eligible for membership in the Pravasi Raksha Insurance Scheme. Children applying for NRI seats for medical courses can submit the NORKA Pravasi ID card as proof of identity of their sponsor.
Financial Assistance
In the event of an accidental death of a Non-Resident Keralite holding an ID card/NPRI policy, financial assistance of ₹50,000 will be provided to bring the mortal remains from foreign countries, and ₹30,000 if the death occurs within India.
