RRB ALP 2025 Notification
Indian Railways is inviting applications for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) post. A total of 9970 vacancies are available. Candidates with a minimum of 10th class, ITI, or degree qualifications can apply online from April 12, 2025, to May 11, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The age limit for the Assistant Loco Pilot post is 18-30 years.
Age Relaxation
- For SC/ ST Applicants: 5 years
- For OBC Applicants: 3 years
- For Ex-Servicemen Applicants: As per Govt. Policy

Educational Qualification
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess one of the following qualifications:
- ITI in Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic trades.
- Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the above-mentioned trades.
- Three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering.
- A degree in the relevant Engineering disciplines is also acceptable.
Candidates must provide their name, father's name, mother's name, and date of birth as recorded in their SSC/SSLC/Matriculation/10th class examination certificate.
