Application Process
Online Registration
Applications are accepted only through the online mode via the Kannur University website.
FYIMP Program
Students admitted to the Five-Year Integrated Masters Program (FYIMP) can exit after completing three or four years. Those who exit will receive degrees such as Degree, Degree (Hons.), or Degree (Hons. with Research) based on the credits earned.
Four-Year Degree Program Options
Students admitted to the four-year degree programs in affiliated colleges have three completion options:
Three-Year Degree
Students can exit after three years and receive a 3-year UG Degree based on their major subjects, provided they successfully complete the program.
Four-Year Degree (Honors)
Students who successfully complete all four years will receive a four-year UG Degree (Honors).
Four-Year Degree (Honors with Research)
Students interested in research can choose the 4-year UG Degree (Honors with Research) and receive the degree upon successful completion.
Major Program Change
Students can change their major program at the end of the second semester (into the third semester), subject to the Discipline-specific foundation courses/Multidisciplinary foundation courses studied in the first and second semesters and the availability of seats.
Application Requirements
All students seeking admission under various quotas (General/Reservation/Community/Management/Sports) must apply through the single-window system. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply through this system. OCI cardholders and foreign students are not eligible.
Registration Details
Online registration starts on May 30, 2025, at 5 PM and ends on June 17, 2025, at 5 PM. Corrections to the application can be made without a fee until the last date of registration. A fee will be charged for corrections made after this date. Registration-related information is available on the admission website.
Quota Admissions
Applicants seeking admission under Community, Management, and Sports quotas should submit the printout of their online application along with necessary documents to the respective colleges.
Option Selection
Students can select up to 20 options. Information about colleges (distance, hostel facilities, etc.) is available on their respective websites. Admission is mandatory if allotted to a chosen college; otherwise, the applicant will not be considered for subsequent allotments. Select only the colleges and programs you wish to join in order of preference.
Application Submission
The printout of the online application need not be sent to the colleges or the university. The printout and fee receipt should be produced at the time of admission in the respective colleges. The online registration fee is ₹600/- (₹300/- for SC/ST/PWBD categories).
