State Bank Recruitment: Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales)
An exciting opportunity awaits graduates in Kerala! State Bank of India (SBI), a leading public sector bank, has announced openings for Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales). There are 6500 vacancies available across India. Eligible candidates can apply online until August 26, 2025. Kerala anticipates approximately 342 vacancies, with 10 in Lakshadweep.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Those awaiting final results are also eligible, provided they can furnish the qualification certificate by December 31, 2025. The age limit is between 20 and 28 years as of April 1, 2025. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per government rules. Widows and legally divorced women are also eligible with extended age limits.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and a Language Proficiency Test. The Preliminary and Main exams will be conducted online and will consist of objective-type questions. The Preliminary Exam is a one-hour test with 100 questions for 100 marks, divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates qualifying in the Preliminary Exam will be eligible for the Main Exam.
The Main Exam will be 2 hours and 40 minutes long, featuring 190 questions for a total of 200 marks. It will cover General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for each incorrect answer in both exams. The final selection list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Main Exam. Subsequently, candidates will undergo a Language Proficiency Test in the local language of the applied state. Candidates who have studied the specified local language in their SSLC/HSC exams are exempted from this test.

Preliminary and Main exam centers in Kerala include Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram. Exam centers are also available in Mangalore, Udupi, Coimbatore, Nagercoil, Tirunelveli, Salem, and Kavaratti. The Preliminary Exam is scheduled for September, and the Main Exam for November. The application fee for General/OBC/EWS candidates is ₹750. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from fee payment.
