About the Padanamuri Scheme
The Kerala State Government is inviting applications for the Study Room Scheme (Padanamuri) aimed at providing dedicated study spaces for Scheduled Caste (SC) students. This initiative supports students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds by helping them create a conducive learning environment within their homes.
Eligibility Criteria
This scheme is open to SC students studying in classes 5 to 12 in government, aided, special, technical, and Kendriya Vidyalayas.
- Applicants must belong to a Scheduled Caste (SC) family.
- The annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- The existing house should have a floor area of less than 800 square feet.
Benefits
Eligible students will receive financial assistance of ₹2,00,000 to construct a study room attached to their existing house. This financial aid aims to create a comfortable and effective study environment for the students.
How to Apply
Applications can be submitted to the concerned Block, Municipality, or Corporation Scheduled Caste Development Department offices. Application forms and detailed information can be obtained from these offices.
